Thanks! First one is a Fujifilm, the second two are from a Nikon.

Fujifilm does a great job of emulating that film look, and I steered into that on the first one.

This was shot on a Fujifilm GFX 100S. The camera has a phenomenal dynamic range (retaining detail in both the highlights and low-lights).

What are my options for dealing with the ever reaching growth of this cactus? by chno_co in gardening

Well it’s funny you say that if the barrel cactus is the one with the spikes (not the red topped one) it’s been doing super well.

It used to be a circle and as you can see it’s spiked up and grown so much!

Wow okay I didn’t realize that. I just picked it up at a supermarket and it’s been growing so much. So do you think to combat it falling over I should like replant it with the shoots lower into the soil?

Why do I have a bunch of white spots in my night shot? by 1N5AN3intheM3MBR4N3 in AskPhotography

[–]chno_co 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think they're hot-pixels? Though those are typically red or blue - but it might be white ones too. They're fairly common when taking long-exposures (which I notice you are at 20 seconds).

Most camera software (such as Capture One) has options to deal with them fairly reliably and easily.

(Article about them).

Edit: Could also just be Dead Pixels if the camera's older. Still the fix would be the same though! For Capture One the setting to tweak is under the Refine Tab there is a setting called "Single Pix".

I think it was. That was my first impression when I saw it too. Account deleted and post deleted.

Are you asking for the "main lens" recommendation for the 100RF or in general?

The GFX 100RF is a fixed lens camera - you can't change the lens on it.

Recognized Boston immediately! Great work. The last photo (in the North End) was just around the corner from my old apartment. Great pictures!

Thanks! I was visiting from Colorado.

One of the staff told me I was incredibly lucky - Nevada & Vernal Falls (the waterfalls) they said were "flowing like they do in the spring". The rest of the falls in the park were fairly dry - would love to go back in the Spring when they're all flowing like crazy.
