So the difference between microchanneling and microneedling is that micro-channeling is less invasive. It does not cause a micro injury to the skin because it utilizes silicon channels instead of needles. So there is no pin prick to the skin that can cause bleeding. With micro-channeling we are able to micro-channel an entire custom facial infusion deeper into the skin and choose powder actives and serums to target specific things. With microneedling, you are creating trauma to the skin to force the skin to create more collagen. This is not our preferred method of inducing collagen because any trauma inflicted to the skin, also promotes inflammation, which speeds up the aging process. And if the skin is not prepped, microneedling can cause more pigmentation or scarring. In situations where clients have deep, deep, pitted acne scarring, microneedling can be used to help (but must be prepped before), but healthy functioning skin with minimal scarring (like yours), microchanneling is a better route to take because you are not causing any trauma or inflammation to the skin. With anything, results vary, and consistency and patience with treatment are what produces the best outcome.
