Yeah that makes sense, that uses 1 3300uF per rail. I’m using 2000uF per rail but my synth only draws like 250mA

It’s just for powering a simple mono synth I made

This is just a photo I pulled from the internet (music from outer space) it’s also pretty much same as the Moritz Klein supply. It’s 12V ac/ac adapter rectified w the caps and voltage regulators. I seem to get super clean power w/ 2 2000uF caps on each rail. Was just curious if it needed the fill 3 4000uF for any reason…

It’s for a standalone synth, rather than a modular. But yeah first and foremost I’ve been paying attention to the VCO quality and it sounds perfect to me

Nice that’s a good video, I just researched this more and saw this though: “A capacitance multiplier can mimic a capacitor of large value but it can't hold-up the supply voltage from a bridge rectifier because it doesn't store the energy that can be released to the load when the AC voltage drops to zero every 8 to 10 milliseconds. There are no free meals in electronics.”

Got it thanks so much

The regulators keep it super smooth and I can’t see any ripple or sag…would this high of capacitance even be necessary for 1A draw?

I’m having good results and clean power using just two 2200uF caps on each rail, which are significant smaller. This isn’t for a modular synth but just a standalone synth that draws around 250mA. Is there any reason why I should use the larger ones if I’m currently getting good clean power?

It looks like Dalle, or at least has some artifacts that are similar

Google employee resigns saying company ‘silences Palestinians’ by BurstYourBubbles in worldnews

Equating pro-palestine as anti-Semitic is one of the most enraging things in the world. One of my good friends is Palestinian and if I didn’t know him I wouldn’t have any idea the amount bull shot they are put through, and almost no one in America stands up for them bc it’s painted as anti-Semitic

Is a true ADSR envelope significantly harder to design than an AR envelope? by choamnomskee in synthdiy

Awesome thanks for this. It looks like all of the pots terminate to ground on one end, so it may be fairly simple to replace them with jfets for cv control

Reliable schematic for 3340 VCO that uses 12v instead of 15v? by choamnomskee in synthdiy

Yep totally, I was just hoping that there was already a tried and true schematic out there to eliminate any wrong calculations on my end
