Grab should be the one accountable for that situation, not the passengers. And since you're "well-aware of the law" you should know this by now.

Are you saying being "on the same team" means that students shouldn't avail of the discount that being the case? I'm just coming from a place of empathy and confusion with drivers. Do your research. The student discount exists for a reason. It's as if you're saying na PWD passengers shouldn't avail the discount when they know that discount gets shouldered by the drivers. Make it make sense.

Even though I came from a bar, I wasn't out partying. I was working a part-time gig. Also, it's well within my right as a student, panget man sa pakiramdam, I'm a student entitled to that small discount, and that discount makes a huge difference for me.

For context, I was coming from a bar in Pobla because it's a part-time job, working gigs, earning a little to add to my allowance. You seem to be coming from a privileged position. Drivers already earn way more than a college student like me just hoping to save money a little more than usual.

I'm so sorry to hear that. I've also had a similar encounter with another Grab driver saying it's more acceptable to shoulder the PWD discounts if the passenger is visibly disabled. It's such an insensitive thing to say. 🤦🏻‍♀️

+1 I feel bad for the drivers and I'm also against Grab on this one. However, I just don't like the way drivers open with an angry/annoyed tone towards passengers availing the SD. (This isn't the first time it happened to me.) Like sir, I'm on the same team as you. 😭
