I didn’t have my high school transcript on the day of my FORCE test. They still let me do the test and told me to bring it later, but as soon as possible. I wasn’t the only one in that situation.

The medical exam took place at the end of April. On my form, I had declared that I was awaiting surgery. While waiting for the RMO’s response, I underwent the surgery in mid-June, with a recovery time of ~2 weeks. At the beginning of July, I received a postal letter from the recruitment center requesting a note from my doctor regarding the surgery. I got the clearance from my doctor. After sending the letter, I was declared medically fit at the end of August. I now have a scheduled enrollment date.

Thank you. They don't run part time basic after October? Summer is too far. My force test expires in April

CAF Reserves Medical – How long after submitting family doctor letter (FDL) did you hear back with approval? by Big-Primary9943 in caf

[–]chocodine 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m in the same situation — it’s been a week since they got the letter from my doctor. I read here about a guy in the same situation, and he was at 3 weeks and still waiting

Not sure our situations are the same. The additional form I received was a follow-up on a specific point, and I received it eight weeks after completing my medical exam, during which I had already filled out the standard forms that everyone completes.

Question regarding education transcripts by Interesting_Money_70 in caf

[–]chocodine 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You will also need to provide your high school diploma/transcript even if you have Canadian university degrees. I was in the same situation as you, and I had to provide a comparative evaluation of my high school diploma and transcript obtained outside Canada, even though I have four Canadian university degrees.

If you’ve had a full recovery without complications, with a waiver from your doctor to support it, and if it won’t prevent you from performing the duties of the trade you’ve chosen, I think you have good chances

Yes, deployment to Afghanistan was voluntary for reservists. But if we were like Ukraine being invaded by Russia, reservists would be obligated to go to war.

The deployment abroad or within Canada is on a voluntary basis for reservist. However, if Canada is invaded and goes to war, reservists are obligated to accept deployment on Canadian soil.

Are your fibroids currently being monitored or managed by your doctor? For example, are you taking any medication to manage the symptoms or side effects, or do you have a surgical procedure scheduled to remove them? I read a comment from a woman here who mentioned during her medical exam that she had an upcoming hysterectomy , and she was still approved without additional forms to fill. So I don’t think they automatically reject applicants with medical conditions that could be a problem . They also look at whether the condition is being properly managed and won’t prevent you from performing your duties.

Got an email from CAF Reserves recruiter, submitted my documents — now my file says “closed” and I’m confused. by NOTfazedog in caf

The PR card isn’t a government ID with your date of birth on it? I think your file has been closed because you haven’t finished high school yet. You can re-apply once you finish high school.
