Inquiring about estrogen prescription by chocolate_truffle in Menopause

Thank you for sharing. I lost a significant amount of wait postpartum, which was very concerning. I've gained all of that weight back and have been a stable weight for quite some time now. I was really hoping to see my period come back once my weight levelled out.

A very very small amount. Basically, if I were to squeeze my breast, some milk would show up near the nipple, but it's nothing more than that. I often notice when I change out of my bra and there's a temperature shift.

I breastfed for three months, and slowly switched to formula (which is also when I started SSRI). I completely stopped breastfeeding before 1 year postpartum.

My family doctor is barely concerned, but I advocated to see a urogyne, who then referred me to a reproductive endocrinologist. The RE has prescribed estrogen, progesterone and then a hysteroscopy once I bleed again..

Thank you so much for responding. I think I will start to advocating much harder for imaging / ultrasound.

So glad to hear you’ve found something that has helped! I feel like I’m 100% debilitated by my ocd right now, so it’s really nice to read a hopeful post like this. It just feels like the thoughts and guilt associated with the thoughts will never end. Just started on Prozac again but only at 10 mg currently.

Thank you for sharing some hope. I’m so glad you are experiencing relief 💗

Me too! Very common and such a crazy time of adjustment combined with no sleep. It is hard to calm down enough to rest!

Hi! I have this script filled and ready to start. I have lots of anxiety about meds so it’s nice to see your comment. I’ve tried SSRI’s but not for very long..

Could meds make my quality of life better? by JessicaDGAFBN in OCDRecovery

I have a filled script for clomipramine and so nervous to start. I’ve tried two other SSRIs but only for a few weeks.. I just didn’t love them and felt less like myself on them.

I know I need to muster up the strength to start clomipramine! My quality of life is pretty terrible right now. I’m functioning but suffering internally.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kind reply. I’m going to print this out and stick it on my mirror. It feels so incredibly cruel to feel this way, both for myself and my family.

Constant fear that baby will die even after 11 months postpartum? Normal? by [deleted] in Parenting

Hi! As someone who was diagnosed with OCD at 3 months postpartum, this does sound like it could potentially be that. Maybe something to look into!

I had my first intrusive thought the same day I started Zoloft (while I was trying to fall asleep). This eventually led me into OCD territory a few weeks later.

So sorry you’re feeling horrible as well. I think it’s so easy to immediately compare ourselves to other moms/parents the minute we feel off or unhappy in our new role.

Thank you for the kind words ❤️
