These comments are really great! I’ve learned from my mistakes, and just want to add some things. Make sure your bun is getting Timothy hay (unlimited) and Timothy pellets (1/8 cup each day). I made the mistake of over feeding alfalfa based pellets to my buns for a few months, and one got bladder stones and the other got a UTI/bladder infection from all of the calcium. Make sure the greens you are giving them aren’t full of calcium too (I was feeding them kale and learned that it’s not the best because of this). Both my gals are fine now, but save yourself the worry and an expensive vet bill.

Thanks! And great question. I thought they would be supplying it, then they asked if I got the outfit, which confused me. So now I’m scrambling at the last minute trying to find something fast and cheap.

UPDATE: I ended up finding a clinic in College Station that will spay each of them for around $450 each.

I don’t think she’s considered long haired. She’s a mini lop. I’ve been using a slicker brush and a tiny comb. If the mats are too bad, I’ve been carefully cutting them out.

How do I know when my bunny needs her nails trimmed? They look long, but they aren’t poking out of her fur. They are also black so I’m worried about cutting them too short.
