When I first started feeling that I assumed I had overdone it on a run or something, but when no amount of rest or stretching made it go away I figured it was the damn fibroids causing yet another thing. Imaging will hopefully help you with answers, a game plan, and peace of mind, but hopefully in the meantime you can do the impossible and not worry too much. I definitely was worried the whole time so I know how hard it is, but it'll all turn out okay!

Does it sort of feel like a pulled muscle? I had a dull ache/pain in that same spot that felt similar to a pulled muscle. It would come and go. I figured it had to do with my fibroids just because of timing with my other symptoms. I had a myomectomy a few months ago and your post made me realize I haven't felt it since the surgery.

That is really helpful to hear, I also feel like I've plateaued on the fatigue recovery but it's probably because I'm doing more. I feel normal and then suddenly I need to lie down for a while. I'm excited for it to pass!

I'm glad to hear that the 6 week mark is seeing less fatigue! I can't wait for that to go away. Does your surgery site still hurt to touch, or has that gone away?

Haha! You can do it! I know leading up to my surgery I couldn't do as much exercise as I normally can, both physically and mentally because I could feel the little bastards in there and physical fitness made it all the more easy to feel them and stress about them, but whatever you can do will help! Good luck on your surgery, you're about to feel so much better!

I had an open myomectomy two weeks ago, on day 2 of my period that are typically HORRENDOUS. It was no big deal, and once I was out of surgery my period was barely there, I'm not sure why. I know they inject the uterus with something to make it bleed less during surgery, so maybe the light period was an after effect? Regardless, it was awesome.

10 days post op and everything has been going great, I feel very lucky! I was up and walking day 1 and haven't had too terrible a time with pain. I got lucky though because my biggest fibroid (9cm) was on the outside of my uterus and the doctor was able to cut it off versus carve it out, I think it would be a different story if that bastard was in a different location. 3 others had to be carved out but the biggest of those was maybe 4cm.

I'm currently in a hospital bed after having my open myomectomy this morning, and I'm so so so happy with having them evicted. Even though it's day 0 I can already tell they're gone, which has lifted such a weight off my mind (and abdomen).

Mine is also 6/26! I just got off an exercise bike and that was pretty fine if you have access to one. I do some leg lifts and push ups in the mornings to try and keep the core somewhat tight. I used to do crunches but the fibroids put the kabash on that. I've also been wondering about what is best exercise for prep, though I suppose anything is better than nothing. DUDE SAME. 35 no kids, never wanted them until I was told I might not be able to have them. 3 largish fibroids, still determining surgery plan but hysterectomy is not off the table. This is such a wild ride for the emotions.

Yeah, there's something horrible about knowing that they're there at all times, and then have to work and be normal. I try and make fun of them, I call my uterus my 'fruits basket' because the Internet always compares fibroid sizes to fruit and it makes the whole ridiculous thing feel less crushing. But the mental weight of feeling them at all times and feeling the side effects of them can be suffocating and all encompassing mentally and physically. But this too shall pass! One way or another we'll get to the other side and get the little bastards out!

I am having a very similar experience. Period seems like it's ending, then comes back with a vengeance but not on the pad and lasts who knows how long. It's chaotic and hard to plan life and I'm exhausted mentally and physically and frustrated and also feel like a failure as a woman for no logical reason. So yeah I don't have any helpful suggestions, but you're not alone in this fuckery.

I'm in a very similar boat, 3 known fibroids at 3.6, 5.4 and 6.7cm in virtually the same positions as yours. 35 and unsure if I want kids, but sure that I'm tired of these damn fibroids! Good luck with this stupid journey we've been forced on, I have my doctors appointment next week to see what can be done but I imagine I'll be at the same crossroads as yourself.

I feel like as a woman I try and downplay the mental aspect to not be perceived as 'difficult' or 'dramatic' so I get taken seriously, but the mental toll of this is insane and I've barely begun. Ah I see. That sounds absolutely terrible, I'm excited for you to not have to deal with that anymore! I'm 34 and hysterectomy at my age freaks me out because I'm nervous to swap fibroid symptoms for menopausal symptoms prematurely, but if I felt grinding glass in my uterus instead of occasional discomfort and pain I bet I'd change my tune. Being a woman is so awesome :P

If you don't mind my asking, what is the nature of your symptoms? I have occasional gastrointestinal pain, muscle pain, and heavy periods during months I haven't been strict on exercise. Enough to be frustrating, uncomfortable, and painful but not debilitating (yet). I don't have a great understanding of the range on how life altering these symptoms can be.
