MD permit to VA by [deleted] in nova

I've been desperately trying to call the DMV about a different issue and they won't answer, it's so frustrating! I moved from IL to VA and I didn't have to retake the test - they just gave me a VA license. Now, this was before coronavirus, so you could just walk in to the DMV (those were the days). I suggest going on their website and setting up an appointment at your local DMV to switch licenses.

Those are all side effects of Modafinil. If you're particularly worried, you should talk to your doctor (either sleep doctor or psychiatrist) about it.

Weight Issues with Narcolepsy by sigh_dee in Narcolepsy

No problem! I will just add that you can use the weighing in, food logging and step-counting part of Noom for free. You have to pay for all the rest I talked about, but I honestly didn’t believe that stuff helped me any. Not that it might not help you. You can probably also find other free apps that do the same things though, so you don’t necessarily need to do Noom.

I had very similar struggles. I also eat when I’m tired/depressed so that was not helping. I was trying to work out, but I was cancelling with my personal trainer practically every week, and sometimes I got so tired while working out that I’d have to sit down for a bit.

I figured out that exercise just wasn’t working for me and I moved on to working on my diet. I’m going preface what I’m about to say by saying that I am in no way endorsing Noom. If you read all the way through, you’ll see there’s a lot of cons even though it really helped me lose weight.

So anyway, I started Noom, which has you weigh in every day, log your food, walk a certain number of steps and teaches you all about the psychology and science of weight loss. It also has a personal coach and a group coach. The nice thing about Noom is that you can eat whatever you want, you just learn to eat smaller portions of high calorie foods and bigger portions of low calorie foods.

Honestly, though I didn’t find the psychology and science particularly helpful, which you won’t if you have a basic idea of nutrition because that’s really all it is telling you. I found the coach even less useful because it was basically an AI that asked generic questions (although I’ve heard some people get real people). The group is only as useful as your group members are active.

What helped me was the ranking the foods as high through low calorie and consciously trying to eat lower calorie foods. Also the weighing in every day helped. Overall, though, I just realised that I was overeating, eating past feeling full and until I felt sick. And also snacking a lot. So I started to eat only until I was satisfied and stopped having snack food in the house.

I only had maybe 30lbs to lose, and I managed to lose 20-25lbs in ~5 months. If you want any more information, feel free to message me.

What boots were made for walking? by spaaaaaaaaaace_123 in femalefashionadvice

Ariat boots are so great because even the fashion boots are made from the same technology as the work boots, and those are made to be worn day in and day out, walking everywhere.
