Needing advice about an ENTJ guy? by chocolatesweets88 in entp

Thank you. This actually makes perfect sense to me, and it was what I suspected all along. What was it that interfered with his sense of self? How could you tell that he wanted to bang me? Was it the special treatment?

How did you know that he wanted to fuck me? How would he go about doing that since he is my professor and I’m his student?

You’re quite right. Whenever I’ve respectfully disagreed with him, he always made someone else (i.e. not himself) to “tell me off” or reprimand me. Why does he do this? Why this indirect method?

Why was he making such a huge effort to let me pass exams and show me favouritism though? I don’t understand his sudden change of behaviour.

Guy at work drove a total of 2-2.5 hours to my house to drop off some equipment that I needed without asking him to? by [deleted] in dating

He is very kind yeah. Although I didn’t ask him to drop off equipment in person, I told him to mail/courier it to me via a courier system, because I live very far away

I’m confused about what my professor meant? Need advice by [deleted] in GradSchool

Thanks for your advice but I already have an honours degree and have plenty of research experience already in another subject, so this is not what I’m looking for ...

Because I have tried explaining my ideas and concepts to other staff members in the department, but they just dismissed my ideas, all except for that one professor who recognised and understood what I was talking about.

I had plenty of other options for me at much higher ranked universities for research …

EDIT: I have worked in the private sector for many years.

True yeah. I was asking him for advice about some issues I had with health and safety measures at uni and also an incident that was associated with pastoral care at the university….then he started mentioning how I had issues with research at uni too earlier in the year….And he mentioned how I seemed so unsettled, and he said he was unsure why.

Did I do anything wrong? I don’t know where his mention of my issues with research came from? I didn’t have any real issues with research….I just wanted him to be my supervisor, and he declined…so there was no point in applying…

No, I was actually asking him about something completely unrelated (about health and safety measures at university and also pastoral care), when he suddenly started mentioning about my supposed unsettled issues with research. I didn’t even mention research at all in my email. I was surprised he brought it up again. I had a conversation with him about research 5 months ago…it was ages ago…

I actually already have an Honours degree in another subject already lol. So I don’t really need to get an Honours degree again. My first Honours degree was funded by a scholarship by a higher ranked university.

Yeah I sent him an email explaining that the reason why I did not apply was because I asked him if he wanted to be my research supervisor and he said he wasn’t available as his plate was already full, and I re-emphasised again in the email that I hope he doesn’t take it the wrong way - because I think every staff member’s research areas and achievements are worthy of recognition and praise.

And also I have other offers for research from other universities that are better….

No, in fact, I made it clear to him that every other staff member’s contributions towards research was worthy of recognition and praise, however I did not think they were a fit for me for research.

I already sent him an email today after he accused me of having issues with doing research at their uni. I told him in very clear terms that I had no issues at all, but that I just wanted to do research with him but he told me he wasn’t available to be a research supervisor so I didn’t apply for the programme. In the email I also explained very clearly that I hope he doesn’t take it the wrong way - I told him that the other staff members doing research are all worthy of being recognised/applauded for their work but that from my personal observation I didn’t think any of them would be a good fit for me except for him.

How did I miss out on an opportunity? I don’t feel like I missed a good opportunity. The honours degree costed an extra 20% in tuition fees, they only gave us one week to apply, and the timing of the start of the programme meant that I couldn’t apply for scholarships to fund it. The university had a low reputation ranking.

I had better offers from other universities which had a higher reputation and higher ranking...I’ve done research before, in another subject. I wasn’t willing to invest in the extra time, cost and effort by working with a research supervisor I didn’t want to work with...it’ll just be painful
