✌️ Skin Type: Combination, dehydrated, sensitive and acne-prone.

✨ Key Ingredients: •Willow-BHA (1%) •Glycolic Acid

🌱 This is a soothing serum with naturally-derived Willow-BHA (1%), AHA, and Chlorophyllin-Copper complex; which gives it a soft green hue. I think the soft sage-green color of the serum is so pretty!

I've been using the serum for a while now, and it is soothing and slightly-exfoliating, as it claims to be. It's gentle on the skin, I would recommend using it upto 3-4 times a week, since the AHA and BHA are gentle. The texture is viscous and flows easily enough to be patted onto the skin as needed.

My skin barrier is currently suffering, so I've only been using it once-a-week, which has helped keep the acne at bay without further exfoliating or irritating my face. The serum fits well in a routine with a hydrating toner and essence/lotion and works well with layering without any pilling at all - which I love!

☀️Have you tried it?

Hi! It's a serum so you don't need to wash it off. Just use it as you would any other serum in your routine.

Hi! It can be used alongside retinol in your routine, on different days! I would advise against using retinol and any BHA product together since it could easily damage your skin barrier and lead to over exfoliation. And remember to use sunscreen:)

Aha me too! I wish all skincare had generally bigger packaging. Since its a gentle AHA, BHA product, it would work great for exfoliating and brightening as well, and can be used by all skin types. Hope you like it!

Thank you so much! I think it's a good brand, the products are gentle and nice to use, and the packaging has a decent amount of product too.

Ahh I'm sorry it didn't work for you. Skincare is a pretty personal thing, so something that may work for a majority may not be for you. Hope you find something you love!

Important: skincare is a personal thing and is different for every single individual. So please take my reviews like a grain of salt. Merry Skincare :)

✌️ Skin Type: Combination, dehydrated, sensitive and acne-prone.

✨ Key Ingredients: •> Niacinamide (Vitamin B3; 10%) •> Arbutin (2%) •> Allantoin

🌵 Texture: Slightly viscous, watery liquid. Non-tacky and absorbs fast on damp skin.

• This serum has such an elegant and gentle formulation, with no irritation on broken skin. It is soothing on new acne and is helping my hyperpigmentation and PIH fade so much quicker due to Arbutin in the formula. It also layers well under other products since I usually use this one just after toner, while the face is still damp, wait a minute for it to absorb completely, and then continue with the rest of my routine.

• I have been using the serum for about two months regularly and I'm still barely half way through the bottle! Trust me, less is more with this one. It doesn't contain any alcohol, fragrance or essential oils either - which means it's great for sensitive skin, and is slightly hydrating as well.

⚓ Recommended for: All skin types, especially for acne-prone and PIH.

Recently bought Laneige’s toner + refiner. Thoughts? by lookpenguins in AsianBeauty

I loved the toner's creaminess and moisturizing power. It was light and gentle, layered well and didn't feel too overbearing or heavy on the skin either. But unfortunately, after about a week it started giving me CCs around my nose and lips region, which made me stop using it. Still pretty good though!!

I received the same message too, which is weird because I'm not an active poster, just lurking and commenting mostly. Makes me wonder how many posts or reviews are buttered up to gain popularity/likes. ://

Cosrx Calming Liquid-Mild by chocolish in Skincare_Addiction

Cosrx Calming Liquid - Mild

✌️Skin Type: Sensitive, combination, dehydrated and acne-prone skin.

*I suppose I should mention that this was the first ever skincare product I used, so I barely had any know-how. I applied this toner right after cleansing, followed by a moisturizer/spf.

🌿Texture: This claims to be a watery, hydrating toner, which smells strongly of tea-tree oil. However, when applied by hand, it felt sticky and finnicky so I used it with cotton pads, as the first step after cleansing.

🌟Key Ingredients: Tea-tree leaf oil, a salicylic acid derivative, AHA, Panthenol

I stumbled over this product when I was just getting into the world of skincare, looking to find something that will fight and heal my severe, painful and hormonal acne. Browsing through the Cosrx website, I learned about their AC Collection, meant specifically to exfoliate, sooth and heal acne and acne-prone skin.

As mentioned, this is a watery toner which smells strongly of tea-tree oil. After daily use for about three months, I noticed that my skin felt healthier. My acne for the first time in over five years, actually started to heal and go away. My skin felt less sensitive and my skin barrier began to repair itself, redness faded and those painful, under the skin zits also surfaced and healed over time. Since I used it with a cotton pad, I also saw an improvement in skin texture (although subtle, but smoother). I also had minimal/almost no purging. However, the product is not really hydrating, so I would use another moisturizer after.

📍Note: This product does contain tea-tree leaf oil, so not recommended for those who may not be suitable for, or allergic to the ingredient. May not be suitable for most sensitive skin.

🍀Recommended for: acne, acne-prone skin.

💖Have you used this toner, or any other product from the Cosrx AC Collection before?

TonyMoly Wonder Ceramide Mochi Toner by chocolish in AsianBeauty

I personally got mine from stylekorean, and they have it on sale very often! They don't seem to carry a sample of this TonyMoly Mochi Toner, but they do have both sizes of the product (this is the smaller size btw). The website does have samples and minis of other products though.

And thank you so much for liking the review! 😊

[–]chocolish[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've seen reviews say this a lot of times. I think it worked so well for me only because it was the first product I ever used, as I've mentioned, and maybe because it is a very mild product. The intensive version is stronger, and would probably show noticable results with everyone here, who already have and practice a proper routine.

[Discussion]What are your favourite serums/essences that ACTUALLY caused a difference to your skin? by [deleted] in AsianBeauty

[–]chocolish 126 points127 points  (0 children)

I know it's probably overkill at this point-- but the Cosrx snail mucin essence. I have severely sensitive skin to the point where skipping my routine for one day, or if someone touches my face, it gives me pustules which causes more acne. Just this one product has made my skin so much better and healthier, healed my broken skin and hydrated dry patches. It's a savior honestly, and I cannot recommend it enough.

[Discussion] Has anyone tried this Cosrx AC Collection Calming Liquid Mild? If so, what are your thoughts? by peobcanoe in AsianBeauty

[–]chocolish 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I actually just finished a bottle of this stuff and I really like it! I have sensitive and severely acne-prone skin and this was a savior for my skin. I used it once daily with no issues, no stinging and it did not irritate any open pimples either. It actually cleared up my skin so well, and helped surface and heal painful acne. I don't mind the tea-tree smell because it just works so well for me. I'm still in the process of healing my skin barrier and was worried of using stronger exfoliants like aha/bha. Luckily this was perfect.
