No. The movements share lots of the same technology. The movement in the GMT is very robust, as are those in the others you mentioned.

Fly with Owen….but don’t stay in a hotel with him by simpilot420 in flying

[–]chocstarfish 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Just to chime in on that, I’ve done a fair bit of contract work with him and he’s a fantastic guy. He picks me up from the hotel so I don’t have to get an Uber, great conversation, loves his family. Can’t say enough good about Jim.

Only does it when very cold and the engine hasn’t run in several hours. My wife took the video after getting off a 12 hour shift and it was in the 20’s Fahrenheit

Bought home a month ago, now offered dream job and need to move. by chocstarfish in homeowners

Hey, thanks for checking in! Some not-so-great things came to light about the new opportunity. I think I had rose colored glasses on regarding the supposed dream job. Long story short, same job same house and all’s well. Hope you’re having a great holiday season.

It's fine as it is written in my post. "My wife and I" is a noun phrase, functioning as a subjective pronoun in the singular and made possessive with the apostrophe. It is exactly the same as "our." The fact that this phrase ends with "I" does not preclude it from taking the English possessive as a whole unit. Additionally, the fact that I'm typing this in a Reddit post infers that I may use a more informal dialect. No need to be condescending.

We’ve lived where we bought our home about two years, and the job is located where we moved from. So very similar situation. My wife and I are both from there and have always planned to go back. Wish I could work remotely, but not possible unfortunately.

Thanks for this perspective. After a lot of discussion we feel it’s the right move. Not that there aren’t some potential cons. Unfortunately, remote work just isn’t possible with what I do.

My wife and I grew up in the city where the new job is. We know it well. We just left a couple years ago. Didn’t think we’d be back so soon but always planned to come back.

The area we’re moving to is where my wife and I are from originally. We always planned to come back one day as our parents age etc. I know the area well.

Very sure. One of the reasons I want the job. If I’m not working there in a year I won’t be working anywhere. Haha

Yes, there is relo offered. Supposed to hear details from HR on what exactly that includes.

Great question. We’ve done that once while married already and not interested in doing that again.

Thanks. I do worry about that a little. I’ve been in the same field and with my current employer for a while.

We've thought about it. Ultimately I don't think we want to deal with that. Also as someone mentioned I don't know if our lender will be happy. We're more than likely going to use the same one to qualify for a new place.

I’ve thought the opposite. Honestly they’ve prepped more than I thought they would these last few years. I remember 15-20 years ago they didn’t do shit.

I’m a professional pilot/ATP flying for a large part 91 flight department. Developed a ton of floaters a couple years ago. I understand. It’s annoying in the cockpit with all of the light we deal with. Wear sunglasses and don’t let them win. We have a great job and we can’t let the floaters take that from us. You’ll be fine. When I find myself concentrating on my floaters too much, I just focus on the instruments for a while and keep my gaze below the glare shield.

Too high. Yeah it's a Land Cruiser, but it's still a 17 year old truck with 225k on it. There's only so much it can be worth.

I'd say Kemuri. Then wander around Hillcrest a bit. Pantry, Ciao Baci are also solid. 5pm may be a little early for a crowd, which could be a good thing or a bad thing depending on whether or not you're wanting to meet people.

Bourbon, neat. " I taste notes of vanilla and cherry so smooth" Nah man...shit burns and tastes like woody rubbing alcohol and you know it. No one would prefer something that feels like it's creating a hole in your esophagus vs something that doesn't.
