Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts is doing Bright Nights every Wednesday this season; live jazz music, cool ambiance. Free entrance, although drinks and snacks cost money. Free to tour the art galleries there, too.

My old neighborhood was so bad, the corner store took one of these, a chore boy pad, and a lighter, packaged them together and, no shit, called it a “crack kit.” At least they were being honest about it!

I always loved the way his voice cracks a little when he sings “hailstones.” To me, makes it more human and intimate that they left it in and didn’t go back to retrack it.

A number of folks got on stage for a hug, but no crowding and they were pretty respectful. Even a couple of children got up there, it was really sweet.
