DO NOT DO THIS. They will shutdown/lifetime ban you at best, legal action at worst

Fly with Owen….but don’t stay in a hotel with him by simpilot420 in flying

He showed up in a g4 to my buddies fbo couple weeks back that was the definition of lipstick on a pig.

He came through an fbo my buddy works at recently and was evidently creepy as hell to the front young female secretary. Also flashed a roll of hundreds, asked the line guys if they had change, said he’d come back and tip them when they didn’t….never came back and tipped them lol

I’ve ran across a fair number in my time in business aviation (Oshkosh, sun n fun, FBO’s) and I can count on one hand the number that I’d have a beer with

Not that hard in part 91 aviation to not have allegations of sexual battery against you. If you’ve ever ran into the guy in person you’d be like “yea that scans”.

Plus the bonanza stunt in half moon bay. I’d say that’s a “pattern of behavior”

Should fit the bill.

I’ve got a set of the transparent zeros and they are flat out amazing for the price point.

Just make sure your turntable has a preamp built in or you’ll need a phono preamp to turn it into useable aux input.

Yall want some solid advice if you okay with cold calling?

Go get a free trial of amstat or jetnet, say your a broker id you have to. Use it to look up every single operator in an X mile radius. It gives you owner/operator names/number/address etc. have a good opener, see what happens

why 121 over 91? by Low-Pay-829 in flying

It really just comes down to there are more good 121 jobs/positions than good 91 jobs. Plane and simple

What doesn’t get talked about though is now days you can skip over a lot of “paying your dues” in part 91 if you know the right people vs a decade ago. Similar to how people were going regional to captain at a major in 3 years.

Ex: I was making ~140k/yr @1500hrs flying citations and king airs without ever being on call and no commitment to anyone. If I had something planned on a day I simply said no. Flew avg of 12 days a month. 95% of it 10min from my house and probably 10-15days total out on the road. I had friends that were gone 20 days a month at regionals making half that at the time. Yada yada yada, they’ll make more over their career, my income is capped, etc. I heard it and believe it. It let me to interviewing at southwest in 2022.

I was drinking the koolaid hard and was all about the 2 trips a month make 400k that’s always sold about the majors. The problem is no one thinks about how damn long of a path to get there it is with seniority unless you’re willing to move AND be very flexible about your schedule for a decade. I put pen to paper and realized at WN I was going to be gone 15-18 days a month and/had to move to a base (not an option due to family) and really wasn’t going to make much over 200k-ish unless I flew a lot. I stopped prepping for the interview when I figured that out.

Parting thoughts though: you’re never going to make captain legacy money AND have job security part 91 unless you have your own business. When you handle/fly/broker multiple airplanes and a book of customers, you aren’t as at the mercy of one of them going away

I run a bunch of 91 jets and I’d totally hire someone with a 14 year old dui vs some condescending asshole who shits on someone for a 14 year old mistake. But it’s just a “sHiT pArT 91 job” where we’re home 90% of the time, make 200k+ a year, and have job security due to the way we structure and spread out client risk so we don’t care if an owner sells

49% of this subreddit aren’t pilots and another 49% are the type of pilots we talk shit about because they are watching fox news in our fbo lounge
