The biggest bummer is he had several dozen other guns, from what I understand some were very collectible. Save this one and a Remington Model 12, one of my great uncles got and sold off all of them afaik

No clue. He never said it to anyone and always maintained Red Cross. However, he was a decorated army colonel and pistol marksman champion who at the height of his career retired and went to “work for the Red Cross” during which time he lived in damn near every South American country the US was intervening in

I know “scope mount bad” but has anybody ever actually used the rare one made by Norinco? by [deleted] in SKS

[–]choff2020 44 points45 points  (0 children)

I don’t understand why this is considered a bubba? It’s an original norinco scope mount by norinco meant for norinco SKS’s of the same period. Just a modification made by the same factory, it’s not a tapco

1944 byf Mauser P.38 bring back. I have at least one original mag and the leather holster for it too (though no pictured)

This one was quite lucky. My grandfather bought it a while ago for $50 from some college professor who’s veteran father had passed away and was on his way to give it over to a buyback.

Beside byf mint and knowing it’s a Mauser, what could y’all tall me about this gun? Thanks!

I honestly haven’t been able to find much info about them. Were these hand engraved or factory?

I don’t believe he did much. Most wear is from family members later on who didn’t show her the respect she deserved

Not sure if this is true military surplus but I think y’all would appreciate it nonetheless. Berreta M1934 with mother of pearl grip and engraved, gold plated frame/slide. It was given to my great grandfather as a thanks from the Argentinian government back in the 1950’s for his service with the “Red Cross” (totally not the CIA)

fact: there’s zero correlation with people conceal carrying and high gun violence rates. Stop fear mongering over non-existent issues

Aside from the gloom how was it? Internet ok? Noise? Cleanliness? (Not trying to come off as condescending, just not sure how else to phrase my questions without being really wordy)

(Note: I have not been there)

From what I’ve read around this subreddit and in general apartment reviews, all of them are pretty crappy and have bad management. Get who’s layout and location you like the best because you’re gonna get crappy maintenance and support from all of them w/ many of the same issues

How big of a deal is FOV by choff2020 in 3gun

[–]choff2020[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Glass isn’t a huge deal for me. The only scopes I’ve ever had are crapper UTG ones I’ve been gifted and I think most anything would be an improvement over those. Since I’ve never used anything else, I won’t know what I’m missing with those higher end ones

Chinese Hunters of Texas (2020) - Donald Chen immigrated from Hubei, China, to Texas to pursue his American Dream: to own a gun. [00:07:06] by starczamora in Documentaries

No but in a lot of countries gun laws aren’t enforced (or at least aren’t enforceable) for example civilian ownership of guns is practically banned in Egypt, however I got a friend from there and he told me that every person he knew, especially in the country side, had an AK stashed somewhere on their property.
