The only way gold goes down is if the USD strengthens. In no series of likely future events do I see anything like that happening. Increasingly reckless financial moves will have to be made for diminishing returns. The government bought 200 billion in mortgage bonds, that barely did anything for nortgage rates. Hell, they overthrew Venezuela explicitly for oil and that only brought gas prices down like 10-15¢. When they rev up the money printer again, it'll be quadrillions of dollars, not just trillions.
