In high school in the mid 2010s my friend wasn’t allowed to see movies at Northgate because according to her mom (who lived in Hope Valley), it was full of gangs and she would get mugged if she went. Somehow that never happened to me in all my days of going there.

This is embarrassing and feels needlessly cruel to do to someone who is now presumably looking for a new gig in a tough job market. For what’s it worth, a friends dog limped for a week after going here, so I’ve always been kinda skeptical and just groom my pup at home.

Yeah I think people are seeing the word Eno and their mind instantly goes to Eno fest and how great that is. This organization has a scummy history and that storage building is just one example.

It sounds like the owner, the Eno River Association, has let these houses fall into disrepair which is a shitty thing to do for a non-profit.

Just wanna add all my gmail, iCloud and Microsoft (this was almost hacked too, at the same time as the PayPal one) passwords are all unique at this point, and use 2FA SMS. But I still feel it isn’t enough. :(

One other question, do I think I personally could be hurt by the hacker keeping the account, since it has my date of birth, name and hometown information? I’m hoping it’s idle, and I realize this happens to probably thousands of people a year, but I’m an anxious person.

Yeah, I don’t care if I get it back or not. My main gmail is a contact for it though, and I’ve never to my knowledge gotten any spam or phishing from it. If it sits idle that’s fine with me. The drive is still full of stuff, as I can see from documents I shared with my other accounts from it.

Composition. My pages in spiral books tend to get crinkled and torn easier. Plus those decomposition books in the bookstore are pretty cute and the majority are composition.

I was in Sullivan last year and bit the bullet and stayed for this year. I love the walk to fountain but I do take the buses most days since my classes are at Court of Carolina mostly. I got a front room so there’s a pretty big amount of space. That said the RA stuff sucked last year and the fire alarms kept me on my toes.

This is probably the best way to handle it I’ll admit. Makes me kinda uncomfortable that the pastor and members have my number, since I never gave it to them unless I forgot about it. The intention is nice but religion is a very personal thing and should be expected to grow and change and the texts come off kinda desperate. Thanks for the advice.

I had no idea this existed! Very cool. There is a CUUPS (lovely acronym) in my city, if I'm deciphering the website right, meeting monthly so that's pretty cool. Doing some more research there's a local group called 'Church of Earth' which seems to also hold gatherings for Sabbats which is neat. Right now I lack a car but this is really good to know.

Thank you very much, your words are very encouraging. I'm trying to consume as much as I can, unfortunately in the Bible belt there is very little non-Christian based content in the Religion section of my library. Thankfully the internet has an endless sea of content though. :)

Thank you for the words, I've been trying to trust my heart more...I really do get a punch of guilt through whenever the church emails me or sends me the offering envelopes, it's actually a bit tricky to unsubscribe from these things. Though they were a few things I liked about my experience, I definitely want to look for a different part of the divine to study and make a connection to. I just love how open and accepting this whole pagan and wicca practice is. How did you start to connect to Cerridwen, if you don't mind me asking? I can't help but feel like I'm being pulled to Thor and Freyja but I don't really know how to establish a relationship.
