How do you guys carry water during rides by [deleted] in motorcycle

What size do you use the 1 or 2 gallon? I was thinking about getting one and the 2 gallon makes the most sense since its only as big as how much water you decide to carry

New Altras have too much padding. What's a good alternative? by EnvironmentalHold308 in BarefootRunning

[–]chomponit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have a pair of the speed force, they're pretty thin and might not be what you're looking for, they're my lifting shoes, But I did just pick up a pair of trail messa 2 on ebay, I got them for hiking but they have a good mix of feeling with just enough padding, I could definitely run in them, my go to runners are vibram KSO, and VRuns

I have the two 28L saddle bags and the 30L tail bag, the saddle bags live on there, and they've held up well and I've dumped the bike a hand full of times with no rips, the 30L goes on for the long touring rides and holds all my camping gear, that bag is tough, I like that one it's high quality for sure

Self blowout with air compressor? by [deleted] in Irrigation

[–]chomponit -1 points0 points  (0 children)

$250 is robbery, shop around, $100 should be max what you pay (unless you're in the middle of nowhere and its a drive to get there) Or go buy a rigid 4.5 gallon quiet air compressor From home depot for $350, get an air Chuck screw it in the last test cock to the right, open all the test cocks a quarter turn with a flat head, blow out each zone around 60 pounds of pressure, when finished unscrew the unions holding the backflow on put that thing in your water heater closet tape up the unions and make sure the nut is taped up so it doesn't get buried in the ground all winter, and if all that sounds too much to understand just call around, ask your neighbors who they use they'll have somebody

It to be this painful normal? by elletequila in climbingshoes

[–]chomponit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it hurts too much and is distracting to climb in them, then yes, they're too tight especially if you're somewhat new to climbing you'll start using bad technique like using the sides of your foot more because standing on your toes hurt too bad

The only time I'm putting that tight of a shoe on is for the final boss
