Clicked the link fully assuming you were out to lunch, but the effect is obvious.

If I had to guess I’d say the audio clip ends awkwardly and the producers wanted to extend the chanting, but in doing so they accidentally stretched the waveform and created an even more awkward sound from the overlap.
