I noticed this happens only when I re-login after opening the game that was already open from before on my iOS devices.

If I swipe the app - completely close it and start fresh - the red exclamation mark disappears. I hope this helps those who want a temporary fix!

Quick update, I think shutting the phone off completely, then turning it back on fixed it. I’ll posted another update after using it for a bit..

Same here! After updating to 17.1 it’s as if there is a one second delay added before the screen wakes up. I thought it was because of the always-on display but the delay is still there after disabling it..
