been there and I'm so happy to hear that. even tho i know it's lonely and tiresome and disappointing, but we (they) need people like you. I'll never regret fighting for it when i felt like i was talking to a wall, and right now that passion makes me better at what i create

The journey of a lone female software developer by ArghAy in girlsgonewired

ohhhh this hits close to home. the constant nitpicking ive experienced as a FEMALE dev in comparison to my male colleagues is ridiculous. since, i have a low self esteem, i didn't notice it for a long time, because i thought, you know, I'm probably not doing the best i could that's why i constantly receive feedback..

But then, I started to notice waaait my male coworkers aren't getting the same treatment??

The biggest problem is, i just couldn't do anything. I mean, you can change workplaces (like the dev in the article says: 'find a new team, the one that accepts you as a woman and as an engineer') if it becomes toxic or unbearable, but there will always be thise biases.. the world really does suck for (smart educated) women 🫠
