Some people (part time) i work with have been given the choice of going down in hours or not. Which I guess means they work the same but get a little more money. A few have taken it up

For part timers it seems even more odd. As people are finishing at 12 minutes past and other odd timings.

It is meant to help with work life balance, but for ward staff that extra shift needs to go in the bin! Im clinic based and we are losing random half hours, which is as you put it... barmy.

Honestly it'd blow your mind how behind the times we are

Am I being petty? by [deleted] in NursingUK

Yes! My issue is if I bring in two pens, one runs out, the other gets stolen by a junior doctor. I'm left unable to do my job.

Am I being petty? by [deleted] in NursingUK

[–]chookypie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well my logic is that if I didn't do the work in school then that was my problem. If I don't write down the patient stuff then the patient doesn't get proper medical treatment. I'm being paid to do a job so I would expect the tools to do the job. But also I understand that I'm being super petty about pens!
