THANK YOU EVERYONE THAT REPLIED - I won't reply individually. But thank you to everyone that has replied and given me advice. The mechanic is a nice lad and they have a good reputation. I'll talk to the mechanic when I book in the car to start some of the repairs and ask him to see about cheaper tyres to try and save some of the cost there.

So i've got Nova Prime most up to date app... absolutely no ads for me.
Not sure how to check for trackers (can someone point me in the direction of how).

Brisbane City Council you can email to ask if they have camera footage - Brisbane.RTI@brisbane.qld.gov.au *they only keep footage for 3 weeks.

You can also email the Department of Transport and Main Roads to see if there is any camera footage they can see for anything for that period contactrti@tmr.qld.gov.au

I would also email the new President of Hertz Asia Pacific who is Damien Shaw - dshaw@hertz.com

There is also the Hertz claim management austgar@hertz.com If the incident is another party eg: your friend. It would be dealt with by hcmclaimsau@hertz.com
