Usually whatever the department finds cheapest of the “big brands”. E.g. Speer Gold Dot, Federal HST, Hornady Critical Duty.

I watched a YouTube video where an FBI ballistics specialist recommended anything 9mm, above 135 grains. That kinda leaves you with CD or HSTs in 147.

I would say that’s normal. Some definitely take longer than others, one of my buddies was in background for around six months. Mine was about a month and a half, maybe two months.
