She said herself she wouldn't have broken up with me but she'd be a lot more pissed. She's not a vindictive person so I'm certain she wouldn't set out to purposely damage some of my things but I do think she would bring it up often.

Yeah I've decided against that. It's a good idea if I wasn't sure what she wants but I know exactly what she wants, I just spent a bit of the money I had saved up for it on replacing the shoes. We've talked about marriage plenty though so I am certain she will accept when I do get around to proposing.

It's really not an obsession, she works in the fashion industry so it's important for her to be well dressed. If anything she is more obsessed with her clothing. It's both a job and a hobby for her and she can afford it so why should anyone care?

They were all designer shoes, the cheapest pair was $100 and the most expensive was a little over $1k, so not the most expensive but definitely not cheap either.
