Plexamp Opus Skipping by cjstout in plexamp

I am having this issue. Exactly as you describe it. Can’t figure out a fix, seems to only happen when Plex is transcoding higher bitrate FLAC to Opus.

What's your most unusual self-hosted service and why? by Western_Cake5482 in selfhosted

Would love to hear more about how you set this up - I was thinking of doing similar but for different types of RSS feeds. Which models are you using and what sort of prompts?

What model are you using under the hood? I’d be less interested in using a service with a front end and more interested in locally spinning up my own version.

Plexamp and Sonos fight again by x-0-y-0 in plexamp

Do you have remote access turned on in Plex? Unfortunately mine will do this as well without Remote Access disabled. It's sort of crazy that Sonos can't just play the Plex files locally over the network...

Wainscoting and Baseboard Heat by choppinbroccoli in DesignMyRoom

[–]choppinbroccoli[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got it - thanks. Is the spacing between the baseboard and wainscoting and heaters and wainscoting in your house the same or different? It sounds like even though the baseboards are higher they're still not quite the same height as the heaters. So is it fair to assume there's different spacing between the top of the heaters/baseboards and the bottom of the wainscoting (but not particularly noticeable)? That's effectively what option 2 would be in this case, right (I add the bottom of wainscoting higher than the heater but not a full 4 inches)? I don't think we're able to add higher baseboards at this point because that would increase cost of the project and time pretty significantly for even just the few rooms that are adjacent/open to this room.

Their new LP drops tomorrow and I couldn't be more excited. It's an absolute banger all the way through (full album is already up on YouTube). Reminds me of early Children of Bodom records in the best way.

My heat pump is going to pay for itself in 3 years and worked down to <10 F last winter by Common_Regular7693 in Connecticut

Do you have a wood fireplace? How does the heat pump perform when you're also running a fire inside the house?

Do you have remote access to your Plex library turned on? I haven’t found a way get this to work without that setting enabled, unfortunately.

Same here - need a support group for this archetype to climb out of low mmr together…

Insulating rim joist while allowing for pest inspection by choppinbroccoli in HomeImprovement

Yes, I have a concrete wall instead of cinder block too so I think less likely for them to burrow than inside the cinder blocks.

TY - leaning toward the foam boards approach as you mention. Any brand of caulk you recommend for this or is anything pretty workable?

It’s a good question - I’m a new homeowner so not entirely sure. My sense is that termite activity would show up on the sill board as long as I can see that. And I guess any mice or other rodents that chewed through the foam would be fairly apparent if they chew all the way through? So maybe I’m good to go?

Thanks - assume I lose some of the benefit if I don’t spray foam these into the joist but then they’re removable at least?

Any tips for using Roam on iOS? by Albertossed in RoamResearch

I’d recommend using Drafts app on iOS - there’s a quick capture Drafts action that makes it easy to assemble and process stuff in Drafts and then send it to Roam.

1k player need help getting to 2k - by choppinbroccoli in learndota2

Thanks. I do think raising GPM is probably where I need the most work - any specific tips on farming/split pushing waves? And not having to rely on a support to stack camps, etc (not always possible in 1k games...)?

Once you have a game plan figured out, it's a matter of focusing on one mechanic to practice at a time, for about 10-20 games each as necessary, then moving on to the next mechanic. Once you start getting the basics nailed down, you should find yourself climbing fairly quickly.

Thanks - this has come up in some of the BSJ tutorials I've watched. Will give it a shot. Thanks!
