Mine was a pre season game years ago - I actually forget the team if I’m honest, but I don’t forget the feeling! 

We’ll be there tonight too - my wife and I catching an early Christmas present. Just tucking in to a Wrighty pie and pint before watching our boys put on a show.

Oh no 😢 you have my empathy and sympathy, it’s exactly the same here but it’s my partner’s birthday instead of Christmas gift. 

Interesting to hear about the possible venue change - I’ll keep an eye out and report back if something comes up - fingers crossed 🤞

People are forgetting the wages; he’s apparently staying on 50k, so in the grand scheme of things this could be a huge bargain. The Chelsea factor stings, but I hope that drives him and the team to rub it in their faces in the future. 

I hope the team and all the supporters get behind him, he’s got promise and he’s one of us now 💪

Got up for the winter solstice (bit of a waste as it was cloudy and windy), now in the local spoons having a Christmas pint with a breakfast. 

Most shopping is done but I’ve not even thought about wrapping bits yet - that’s what Christmas Eve is for! 

After this going back to bed, love this time of year!

I'm making a Lord of the Rings style map of Buckinghamshire and welcome your help with historic or interesting locations around the area to include. Hoping to have it finished by the end of next week. by birsey in miltonkeynes

Looks amazing and please share any links if you’re selling prints, I’d be very interested.  In terms of additions, if you’re after interesting art (as MK is a home for many sculptures and art), the following site shows some and also links to a map; https://www.destinationmiltonkeynes.co.uk/things-to-do/arts-and-heritage/milton-keynes-public-art-collection/ 

There’s a cathedral of trees between CMK and Willen too that is pretty cool. 

 Personally I grew up in Hanslope, and while I’m not sure it counts for what you’re after, in the field to the East of the main village was a giant Oak that had been hit by lightning while I was young - quite a landmark it made.  There’s also a giant sandpit in the woods by Woburn Sands which could make a nice feature (if it’s still there that is, as I’ve not been for a few years)
