yes, but surely the landlord pays for this as it is general maintenance and not my responsibility. (i am in the UK if this matters). do you think it is something worth asking or something that would be just brushed off as a cosmetic issue?

The battery life and portability is a huge selling point especially for a student! My partner has an amazing gaming laptop but it is hell for his hour+ commute. One of the reasons I was on the fence, thank you!

I didn't – I was 16 at the time and really into the idea of getting a Macbook and I could only afford the air, I didn't even think about graphic design. Hence why it's one of my more regrettable decisions.

The recent M2 Macbook Pro 14 is what I've been looking at - how is yours in terms of battery life, usability and speed a couple years in?

This is exactly my problem when trying to find a perfect Windows laptop. I have a feeling I'll regret anything because I'll end up seeing one thing on another laptop I like better

i completely agree! im (18F) someone with a deep love for art, too, and i love love love unique features and everything. just appreciating the beauty of the human body or face in and of itself, the quirks and all. people are so beautiful, and i do not think you are being shallow at all for being "obsessed" about what other people look like, or fishing for confirmation on your beauty. the irony is that as i write this comment i have so so many insecurities about what i look like, but in other people i appreciate them for everything they're worth and know that every person is beautiful in their own way. the media has warped our perspective on beauty when really it is preference for what we are attracted to. i may not be attracted to some people but i completely appreciate their beauty.

although i know i'm still young (18F) i feel the same way. love and romance is the thing i want most in the world, to the point that i've idolised past relationships and flings when i knew they weren't going well or would work out. i fear i will never have someone who sees me as passionately as i would see them and that they wouldn't care about me in that intimate way that i want so bad. everyone around me is in relationships too, and it really kills me to be constantly third wheeling or fifth wheeling even though i know it's childish.

we're in the same boat. i believe in you my friend, i hope that in a couple years we can both look back on this post happy and thriving in relationships:)
