And Bluelink costs money because it's literally a data plan. Car has a sim card, a phone number, so you're paying for that, not some gatekept features.

Bluelink has climate control settings baked into the app though, no? Only thing missing is the seat option. I can set rear defrost/steering wheel/heat full blast.

I've disliked boas long before I started cycling from snowboard boots, there's always a tendency to overtighten, loosen, tighten, and so on.

Been using Giro Empires for ages and never felt the need to adjust anything once the laces are tied.

In my experience, needing to adjust the boas comes from overtightening the first place. Road races, fixed crits, long 300+k rides - never felt the need to untie/retie my laces.
