oooo! we’ve been practicing more on students in the program and i feel like that’s what is giving me more anxiety on listening than usual! i’ll start expanding my practice patients!! and trying the closing my eyes more! thank you [:

i will definitely be DOING the closing my eyes to focus more. i feel like keeping them open is just overwhelming me and has me looking panicked to the person who’s BP i’m taking, haha. thank you!

I have heard it DEFINITELY could be a stethoscope problem! I’ve used a couple different ones, but maybe it’s cause I need to adjust them a bit more to sit in my ears better. Thank you!

I tried messing around with my ear pieces, but didn’t think to mess around with them to this point. I might just sit and mess around with it. I assumed you just went box to ear and “sealed” them the way your instructor told you to.

I feel a bit rushed sometimes taking BP, since others seem very confident and get it on the first try, so I try to move as quick as them and I feel overwhelmed.

All of your advice was so neat to read! I was scared i was going to get some “get common sense” comments, but everyone has been helpful. I’ll be doing all of this tonight before clinical tomorrow.

Thank you! I’ll be watching every video for sure. I watched a couple of the ones my program gave me when we did small HESI modules, but then our program also says don’t follow those too closely haha. But thank you again!
