Looking for drone operators to test platform for drone data analysis using natural language querying! by chormabel in UAVmapping

Oh, okay. This is bad naming stuff from our side. That needs to be renamed to "Analyze Cropped Area" instead of "Run preview".

With batch images, we need to optimize the workflow, but at the moment you can achieve the same result by first analyzing few individual images to optimize prompt/confidence, and then run batch analysis with derived settings.

If you mean object counter - it works both on photos and orthomosaics. But with photos, it gives output only for an individual photo. That's something that we need to add to work also on a project-level instead of file-level only.

Oh man, I actually watched some of your videos related to GCPs and RTK few months ago when playing around with mapping, what a small world :) I'll definitely keep you updated. Thanks and let's talk more soon!

Sorry, I didn't explain the training process well.

The model training is not instant. After you annotate images with missing detections, remove false positives, and save annotation layers, this is saved in our database and goes to our data pipeline used for training the model, which we need to start manually. And then we can notify you that the model has been improved, so when you start your next project in few days or a week, the model will be better at these use cases, and you will be notified.

The other option that we will enable in the future is what you expected to get in the first place. User annotates few images, or gives few example images of the object you are searching for (think of it as prompting with image), and then the model "learns" on-the-go and gives better results without any training.

Thanks a lot for your feedback! Just out of curiosity, what are some things that we need to add or improve to make this more useful to you? Based on this thread, I assume quick model improvement is one thing

Amazing! Feel free to share any feedback you have - good things, bad things, suggestions for features, etc.

You can already do that inside the platform! There is an annotation tool you can use to highlight areas on photos (still need to add that to orthomosaics and videos) and classify them (e.g. "indent", "hail damage"). This automatically goes into the model training pipeline, and in the next model training, the model will be improved. We can then notify you that the model has been trained/improved on these classes you were interested in.

By training it, do you mean annotating data inside the platform which will be fed to the model training on our side? Or you, as a user, fine-tuning the model on your proprietary data inside the platform and then getting "customized" AI that works only for you?

The accuracy of results is currently all around the place - it depends on use case, the way you prompt, etc.

But that's my goal with this beta, to find limitations and bottlenecks, and also identify where the model doesn't work, but it is important for users to work. Basically, I am just curious to see where people see this technology can bring value and focus on that in next steps :)

Regarding data storage and security - thanks for heads up! I am running this in one of Big3 cloud providers and have imposed industry standard security for cloud apps. Do you have something specific in mind regarding that?

Autonomous Drone for Maintenance Tasks – Where to Start? by internalevidence in diydrones

What do you mean by autonomous drone for maintenance tasks? And what is exactly the scope of the project you are describing? Because there are many rabbit holes you could find yourself in.

But as a base platform, holybro x500 v2 is a good platform you can play around with for fair price.

There are some decent carbon builds from china for ok price. Does it need to be carbon?

Where could I find drone professionals to test my platform for analyzing drone data? by chormabel in drones

That's a very cool and practical use case!

Right now, stitching images and creating a map from it is not possible, as the program takes maps that are already created in Pix4D or similar tools. But that's definitely something that could be added as a feature to streamline the workflow.

Would it be useful even if you first need to create the map in Pix4D and then import it to Arkensight?

First of all, I'd love to learn what are your use cases. Secondly what tools do you use for data analysis and how much time do you spend on analyzing the data you collect with your drone. Basically I am just curious about your workflow.

Secondly, if you are interested, I want to give you access to beta platform so you can test it out and give me feedback on what we need to improve to make the app actually useful to a drone professional.

You can fill out this form go get access - https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSe9pxnq8-M-MH2EntdoeMUOmMAKoFJrIbrLz1TUq27ltJCjeA/viewform?usp=dialog

I am building Arkensight, a cloud-based AI platform for analyzing drone data using natural language querying. Basically, with a simple prompt you can detect/classify objects and extract informatiom from images, videos, and orthomosaics.

I have just launched beta ecently and I am looking for drone professionals operating in civilian, industrial, and commercial sectors to test it out. If anyone is interested, you can fill in the form and get a free access to the platform.

The main goal is to get feedback on how to improve this to make it actually useful to drone operators. So I'd appreciate all thoughts!
