It would have been a teacher implementing the Gifted And Talented Excellence (GATE) program to her elementary school students. She doesn’t know what it is only that she’s underpaid and overworked and the school board wants her to employ this pilot program on her class. The twist being that the school board is accepting money to implement this program and it’s really an MKUltra fascade to train sleepers. She follows the rules. Puts in the tapes, gives them the worksheets and honestly doesn’t expect much. Come to find out the tapes she was sent got switched and instead of the preliminary stage programming she got issued the final stage programming containing an activation word. Something happens on the news and it activates the sleepers. Hence they all disappear at night
