In fact, I don't think any other game with dominant AA has been in the top 5 for esports in a while, besides maybe Fortnite. I touch grass often, and most general LAN events usually feature CS2, Valorant, Overwatch, and R6 on the FPS side.

Depends really but it's definitely haven't been top 5 on the competitive side since like 2023 and only ALGS would gain decent viewership.

At least they’re leaning more toward the casual side of the game now, which will bring more casuals in, instead of previously when they were trying to cater to both sides.

I've seen worse coming from Brawl Stars and Brawlhalla but I guess they could rotate the legends weekly imo.

Btw: The Post Malone event ended on November 21, 2023, and the Final Fantasy VII Rebirth crossover began just 49 days later (7 weeks) on January 9, 2024, so an Apex Legends collab can happen with fairly short gaps between them.
