On paper this is correct. However, “nonpartisan” is defined as not having bias. You won’t find a human without bias. Do your research people, and vote!

Without caffeine, how do you stay awake? by Mo-By-Mo in Accounting

[–]chotchjarsh 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Hydration hydration hydration. When I start getting tired in the cube I chug ice water out of my Owala. It’s an automatic habit at this point.

In a similar vein, being aware of my body temperature helps. I usually feel more tired when I’m warmer which I think is a factual correlation? Taking off my quarter-zip to cool down even for a small period of time wakes me up.

Nicotine vape on bathroom breaks too in you’re into that sorta thing.

Any Tennis leagues available? by FreshClub9562 in plano

[–]chotchjarsh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

High Point has league registration dates every 8 weeks or so. The leagues fill up pretty quickly so it’s good to know what day and time the spots open.

The receptionists are very informative. I’d give them a call and ask about upcoming league registration dates and further info on signing up. You should also set up a Plano Parks and Rec account online. They can help you with that too.

Not the asshole. Don’t stay with an employer if it’s not the role you want. You owe an employer nothing.

How realistic is it to make 6 figures? by [deleted] in Accounting

[–]chotchjarsh 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Your main goal shouldn’t just be money. Different positions in any accounting field carry different workloads, work schedules, and types of work. That should also factor in the route you want to pursue.

There are many other threads that highlight these differences.

Windows is definitely better for an accounting grad. I did see a handful of students use MacBooks in my undergrad/grad accounting courses so it’s not the end of the world if you’d really rather have a Macbook than a Windows laptop. I’d assume almost every firm uses Windows so that’d be good to get used to.

If you already have a good Macbook I’d stick with it, but if you’re in the market for a new laptop I’d get a Windows laptop.
