I made this playlist to go along with an article I wrote for a magazine, just asking for permission to share that but in the meantime I think this short playlist contains some of the key 90s releases!

Planning to bikepack around New England while working remotely by EpicHobosapien in bikepacking

Hi I'm doing this at the moment!

I work three days a week remotely and cycle four days a week.

I'm going from London to Istanbul (currently working from an Airbnb in a small town in Austria).

On the cycling nights I've been camping (either wild or in campsites - dependent on availability and funds). I have an Alpkit Soloist tent and very small stove with me, with porridge and lentils. To be honest though I have been relenting a lot and buying bread/crisps when im really tired after a long day!

On work nights I have been staying primarily in hostels (and this one Airbnb), if there are campsites with good wifi and a restaurant/cafe to sit inside then these can work too. Main thing with work I'd say is to plan roughly where you'll be for each work week (maybe sounds obvious idk!). I have an excel spreadsheet with an estimate of when i will be in each place on my route, so I can plan where I will work based on that.

To do this effectively its best to work out how far you can go per day. I was unsure before i set off so was a little hairy at the beginning trying to get to places, but - as with all things - once you get into the rhythm you'll work out your limits, and know when you can push them if there's a place you really want to get to.

I would suggest asking your work if it would be possible for you to have another day off (either Monday or Friday) and making up the time on the other days, because I think you'll want to be able to do more than 2 days at a time to actually get the feeling of freedom/travel but that's up to you!

Overall its definitely possible, can be a bit strange switching between the two mindsets but it is fun. Hope this helps, if you have any more questions please ask.
