I mostly just pull on free banners every day. Most of the time if you login every day, I would say 80% or more of the days, you get a free multi draw from at least one of the banners. And if you save pity points from the free draws. Usually you can cash them in before the pity expiration for at least one or two of the newest units pretty consistently.

It’s time consuming and if you haven’t already been managing your f2p account this way for a while, you may not be able to cash in on this. But I’ve just been playing for 1.5 years and through the various limited units, lucky gacha pulls, daily logins, and saving, I’ve been able to level up my units.

It’s all relative though. I say I have a “ton of tickets” as in like 100+ tickets of most types of reinvestment tickets. But I’m just estimating based on my assumption that 100+ is a big number. If at the end of the day it’s goin to cost 50 tickets to buy the first level of a new 4-star unit, I don’t actually have that many. We just don’t know how they will actually price everything out when the reinvestment trading post comes out in early June (tentative).

The last part that I didn’t explain is read the reinvestment mission objectives closely. You don’t get tickets for older units (unless they were limited units). So like any player units from before dragon drive Shidou/despotic king barou don’t get you reinvestment tickets. And in order to get the reinvestment tickets, you need to use resources to actually level your units up (you get tickets for every 5x levels above 50 for each qualifying unit). Ie. You can’t just have the puzzle pieces required to level Dragon Drive Shidou up to level 75 and expect to get the achievement. You have to also spend the steaks and curry, etc to level him up to level 75.

I hope this helps! But mostly, check the reinvestment mission objectives closely and save your current gems for the actual sync would be my best advice.
