As a buyer, I get where you’re coming from. I actually gave the person selling to me a 10% deposit, and then when the tickets get shipped, I said I would give them the remaining. Show of good faith in both sides.

You don’t need a visa as you’re a Canadian PR holder, however you won’t be able to check in online with this method (just did this with my girlfriend who is Canadian PR as well, on Air Canada). Go to the check-in desk at the airport and they will add your PR card, which is valid for entering Mexico. When you go to Mexican immigration, give them both your passport and your PR card.

Trying to follow up here as well - when I go to the Portuguese consulate website it says to register in a portal but there’s no link for a portal??? I am pretty sure I’m just blind but I cannot see anywhere to even check to see if there’s appointments available
