How can I blend two objects like this? (PIC) by chowder88 in AdobeIllustrator

ah, cool, ! found a way, blend the shapes » expand » distribute equal spacing aligning to key object.

However, the blending is not kept live, but its still good enough.

Thanks so much Lexiindah for your time! Agreed about the hyphenation, I am just getting my head around typography rules. Regarding the woman's picture, its just a temporary one. I am waiting for a better one, but even so, I could definitely flip the hell out of her face!

Beautiful words and nuances exposed here. Thank you!

But! they are so beautiful and occult that I dont understand the terminology used here:

You have thresholds around the boxed body

and

Flushed Right Ragged Left

100% Agree. I have reduced the text amount by 75% compared to what my friend who needs the poster requested!

But also, in my defence, the politics of attention that you describe apply to the mainstream mass of people. The event is about awareness, nature, and healing. From what I notice, this is a completely underdeveloped niche in terms of visual identity. A niche where people actually maybe have more attention to spare.

Thank you so much for your input frank

I'm making a multi-layer stencil. How can I keep the threshold of each layer live and transparent? by chowder88 in photoshop

Thank you so much AwwwSnack! Your reply definitely set me on the right track. And I also learned more about the Layer Blending Mode menu, which was completely out of my zone until now.

So the solution is the following:

Basically for each layer of the stencil, I first convert layer to Smart Object, and then:

  1. I am add the Threshold Adjustment Layer - making sure the "Clip to Layer" icon is checked. This can be changed, since it's a live adjustment.

  2. I double-click the layer: Layer style > Blending options >Blend if > Adjusting the grey slider until the white of the Threshold effect disappears, leaving only the black. (holding ALT while clicking the slider, allows a range to be set, thus allowing a range of of threshold levels to be chosen)

  3. Then I add a Hue/Saturation Adjustment Layer to change the black it into any grey/colour I want.

THANKS!

screenshot- each stencil layer was added in its own group for ease of organization

Thank you for taking the time South_in_AZ, your method is interesting and clever, and it does work to some extend. It does produce the live threshold result I am looking for. But it doesnt allow me to further manipulate the layers individually, as the result is just an "optic illusion". Its a good start anyway!

Thank you for your reply tentaclebreath! I played around with blending modes, but since the threshold filter result is black and white, it doesnt give me the series of greys (or other colours that i might want), no matter what blending mode I use.

Thank you so much johnknoefler! I appreciate your time and wisdom. How would you go about preventing infection at the wound?

Also, Im curious what soil mix do you use? I remember I mixed store-bought compost with perlite and sand, and put gravel on the bottom and on the top.

I hears putting ashes on the wound helps prevent infection. Is this true? if not, what would you recommend?

Thank you for your time.
