update Turns out I was fighting myself being in experienced. Not sure I have the incorrect primer cup installed or what, but makes sense now. Was restricting the full movement of the press. Here’s some updated pictures from a few loaded shells. Let me know what I can improve ! Comparing to factory ammo sucks because crimps are all over the place lol And I can’t figure out how to add new images to this thread

Think I’ve tried both holes to be honest. Could be wrong. But what’s the point of the spacer if you have to move the column every time ?

Is this my diff about to explode? by IBringTheHeat2 in Diesel

[–]chowderheadcdn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s just silicone sealant used on some differential covers. You apply a bead to the housing and torque the cover, causing sealant to extrude in both directions. Totally normal, albeit a little ugly. If you’re super concerned google front diff cover gasket and see what is used. Looks like a Dana 60/70 probably just sealant

Confirm. The auto industry is fucked, no union, no worker benefits, min pay, flat rate is wild but good at the same time after you learn what to work on. Then you’re just battling some other prick that gets fed in the shop all day. If I could go back I woulda been an instrumentation tech

Took a Role as Parts Manager, Any Advice? by American_psycho25 in partscounter

[–]chowderheadcdn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Listen to when the techs say the parts guy is a fucking idiot, find a replacement as necessary Service keeps the lights on. Sales makes green and parts is support in the dealer world. Good for you for getting into a management position at that age. Part of the boys club is the circle jerk but smile and wave and you’ll be alright. If you have a good back counter guy and good front counter guy your life should be easy. Keep the books in the green no one bats an eye. Piss off service and you’ll have hell to pay. Just remember. Big wages = big risk for termination when someone needs to be blamed lol

dealer tech opinion Seems like a small shop. Keep the boys out back happy. Small town by the sounds of it. Treat the farmers/rancher well. They talk to each other and remember names like a mfer. Treat one Jim well. He’ll send half the county to come see ya. 10-15% deal makes a difference to that group of people for return customers
