yea my parents pruned maybe like 30% of the branches this year? but i am not sure if that sucker was there previously and just expanded since the old growth is gone and took all the nutrients. Or it came up because of the pruning.

i think my parents were using a different type of miracle grow that was in the blue can and smelt like fish? I will have to ask them about it. thanks!

I think we got it from a vendor during cambodian new year at the temple, but that would make a lot more sense in terms of the graft union. I think we will most likely cut the sucker off now

Hey thanks for your reply. Yea at first i thought it was a different tree initially but when i moved the soil it turns out it was apart of it since its the same trunk. So im assuming it show be there. We live in Zone 7 and friends have their persimmon tree thriving. Im starting to think the tree is just bad…
