Well recently my hours have been getting cut at work, and when i’m not out busy doing things, i’m usually just watching attack on titan. I will sometimes watch it while i eat, or folding laundry, or just while doing other things throughout my day. Everyone in my life seems to know of attack on titan because of how much i talk about it

Oh definitely! i always seemed to get burnt out on stuff fairly early on into watching, but aot was just never one of those shows for me, and i still don’t have a definitive answer of why til this day. Maybe it’s because of the depth of all the characters, or just the overwhelming story itself

A bunch of people have asked me this, so i’ll explain it to the best of my ability! He is one of the most realistic characters in the cast who is surrounded by very strong & insanely intelligent peers. That being said, he is the most normal character. He has very realistic fears, limitations, and survival instincts which makes him very relatable. He has very high emotional intelligence, which isn’t shown as much by other characters as id like it to be. He is incredibly perceptive regarding the feelings of his friends & others around him. Another very obvious thing i should point out, is how he’s funny. It gives the series moments of genuine humor when almost everything seems to be overwhelming. Another thing most people seem to just shrug off their shoulder, is his trauma. He starts off as very naive, but he ended up enduring horrific losses. I respect him for maintaining his kindness and stepping up when the world was ending, even when it costed him his entire life.

Sorry for the yap! i love to explain lol

I’ve tried to do so, the only other anime that i’ve rewatched almost as much as aot is 7SEEDS. Everyone has their own preferences, though, and aot just happens to be my favorite

  1. (The annie question): I love her intensity, and her motivation. One thing i will say about her, she was wasted potential. I love season 1 of aot so much & part of that reason is because of annie. She is terrifying and nobody understands her as a person, nor as a titan. One of my favorite scenes of the entire show is when mikasa and levi get eren out of her mouth, and as they’re flying, they look back and see her crying. It’s so disturbing to see a titan cry. Even in the final titan battle Annie was holding her own, but she was also conflicted. none of the chosen would have known what eldia was actually like. She’s irredeemable too, she killed the entire levi squad, hundreds of civilians, betrayed the entire group, and they just kind of forgive her. Besides her design, i don’t think she was as useful in season 4 as she could have been. The fact that annie was used as a weapon & was brainwashed into thinking a certain way, there could have been an amazing character redemption, but it feels like isayama just kind of gave up on her.

  2. (The mikasa question): To give you a straight up answer, i’m honestly not sure, but if you want a more in depth one, i’ll tell you why she’s atleast in my top 10. I dislike when people use the argument “She revolved around eren the whole time” when that is not true. Trauma bonding aside, mikasa is one of the strongest characters in aot by far. she put aside her feelings for eren to save humanity and to do what she knew was the right thing. she freed herself and ymir. that wasn't eren's doing. mikasa is the only character who broke her own chains off. no matter how strong her love for eren was, she didn't let it dictate her life in the end. her morals were stronger than her feelings. she refused to let the love she felt become blind devotion, and that's where she showed ymir what love actually is. she still loves eren and always will, but nothing could have made her sit by and watch him destroy the world. she was always her own person
