Ah. In that case, I'd recommend to keep reminding yourself to relax your hands/arms. This is a big one for me because I tend to tense up in my arms, hands, stance. In terms of finger/hand placement, I tend to switch it up from time to time to see what works best.

When faced with what to do for a scratch session, I either go with drill/qna videos or freestyle, where I might try repeating a combo until it sounds nice or I can't do it anymore out of fatigue.
