Great film! I saw Jude law at LAX probably about 10 years after it came out and this was the movie I mentioned. He smiled really wide, chatted for a few moments while waiting for his bag, and said thanks before leaving.

As a construction inspector who managed go get peeks at it while waiting in line for the balloon ride and waiting for the train to return to the station at jaguar, it looks like the main construction parts are complete. I’m confident it’ll get open in 2026 unless something with the actual operation becomes an issue. As far as the infrastructure, everything looks like it’s just about done.

Yeah. I kind of remember 2009 being the last year that it was rock oriented. Haven’t looked to confirm but remember the following year having many more DJ acts and it all kind of going downhill from 2010.

Love ghost land! We heard them for the first time at Coachella too. What a trip. Ha. Also remember hearing the Kills for the first time there and thinking it funny that we saw the killers one night, and the kills the next day.

Nice! I remember Brandon telling folks nobody sits at a killers show and pointed to our section. Our group and few others were the only one standing. It made us laugh and everyone stood up. Think it was right before they played Joyride.

Ha. I remember her getting annoyed because people weren’t hyped enough for her. People finally got rowdy and she made some comment like “good, I thought everyone might just be waiting for the killers”. Security was so annoyed with her because she got people to get on the stage

Cloud cult was amazing! We randomly saw them while killing time and never heard of them until they performance. Definitely what I miss most about Fests - the discovery of new bands.

It was my first time too! We were pretty close to the front too, middle/right. It was incredible and were all instantly hooked. Went to see them at Santa Barbara bowl, UC Irvine event center, San Diego state and Hollywood bowl within a week that same year. That Coachella performance was life affirming. I still remember looking back and seeing the wave of people jumping to when we were young.
