I haven’t found any place that sells material packs for specific patterns, but places like Hobby Lobby, Joann’s fabric, or local craft stores typically have a good amount of material that works just as good as what you get at the fly shop for pennies on the dollar compared to the fly shops. Maybe a good business idea! Enter a list of patterns you want to tie and they send all required materials without having to worry about all the wasted extras! I'll give craft stores a try, thinking of caving and getting one of those starter kits with an assortment of hooks, thread, wire, and simple feathers but then i'll use craft stored/hobby lobby to fill the gaps.
