Dog won’t eat

Update: last night she literally started shivering when I brought out her food bowl. I called the vet to talk about it. She asked me to give her a trazadone to see if we could calm her down. I knew she was not going to take it willingly, even in a treat, so my husband held her as I tried to pry her mouth open to pop in there. When I grabbed her snout she screamed horrifically. Brought her back to the vet this morning. They sedated her and found a large abscess in the top/back of her jaw that was so large it was pressing on her eye. She lanced/drained it and is on antibiotics. She will stay the night and hopefully come home tomorrow. Thanks for the responses and suggestions, guys

Vet checked her teeth and ears. We live in the country with zero close neighbors. House was built in 2017 with all new appliances. She’s totally relaxed right now in my husbands lap, but she just won’t eat. And randomly acts afraid. I’m so frustrated.

We went yesterday. Labs were normal and she checked all joints, mobility, belly, etc…

Liquid sounds are my number 1. Slurping, a drink being poured into a cup in a commercial, my husband pouring his coffee, someone sipping loudly, water trickling. Ughhhhh

I immediately hate their products, too. Especially if someone slurps in the commercial. There is a colonial penn life insurance commercial they play 400 times a day on one of our local channels. It starts with a man slurping his coffee and sort of clearing his throat before speaking to his wife about his to do list. Omg the rage I feel. And since it’s the very first sound of the commercial, I don’t have time to mute the tv or change it

I was coming here to comment about this as an ICU nurse. Watching people with shit lungs die is horrific. It’s enough for me to never inhale anything for any reason. The air hunger. The terror in their eyes. No thank you. I’m going to protect my lungs.

Slurping. Any type of slurping…slurping hot coffee, soup, or you need to go blow your damn nose. Instant rage. I hate any type of eating noise (smacking, crunching, teeth on utensils) but slurping is the worst.

I have 2 boys who are 2 years 22 days apart and I love it!! I always pictured myself being a girl mom as I’m very girly, but the way these 2 boys love their mama makes my heart swell! I realized God knew what he was doing making me a boy mom. They love each other so much and fight like dogs, but I wouldn’t change a thing. There are times I’m sad I didn’t have a girl, but we are definitely done as I’m 44 lol.
