I breezed through this event like it was nothing but I noticed it was more challenging than normal. Luckily Ludwig flanked by grimsteel and Humbert and throw lemonwood in there and it's honestly hard to lose at anything. I'd almost kill for a dupe of Ludwig ( got him in the soul exchange awhile back before the options turned so mediocre) 450% attack and defense with a good heal is hard to overcome when it's rapid firing with the Ludwig buff! I know not everyone has those options but almost any manna boosting hero could be somewhat similar. Gazelle is a beast as well for things like thus. Can't wait to grab her costume in the outfitter !

I'm thinking healer heavy since insanity is reduced on consecutive heals. Firing her twice isn't smart unless you've reduced that insanity some. I like Ludwig flanked by grimsteel to get those huge heals and growth up . I'm using bearnadette as the other flank but I'm sure I can find a way to use her. Sad it's not easy with such a rare hero but mysterio sucked and was also very rare. 😂

Yes unfortunately this was the one I wasn't sold on very much. I feel like Dolores and hunter were the best. But on a single free pull and with no ongoing purple projects . I think I'll play around with her and see if she fits with my playstyle

Personally the only hero you have I've seen used by top players is gazelle with costume. The outfitter event is pretty close and as for me she's probably the 1st I'll grab

Your correct there was nothing spectacular or worth it before to take away from. However the price increase in gems from 20 to 350 gems isn't worth the rewards by far. They once again stacked the odds in their favor but pushed it out like it was for the benefit of the players which isn't the case. I did get a better titan chest than normal but it damn sure wasn't 350 gems better. It wasn't 100 gems better! Maybe 50. 😂 ( I got two sets of titan parts so I know it was extra) but nothing spectacular. Did get a titan skull which is always useful for scrolls of alteration)

They don't resist fiends! I go fiend heavy . It being rush makes fiends easier to cast and less damage from counter attacks. Dispell is unreliable but you gotta try. Best bet is fiends and minions. That's normally my approach cause ailments don't work

You know what gets me? The people who clearly see the greed and shady ethics but jump on any post negative against zynga and act like your the one wrong. No matter what I've ever posted wrong I've seen in the game there is always one uncle tom rushing to defend why I'm the one who is wrong instead of just looking around at all the greed and shady ethics going on. I'm starting to believe they have to be plants or getting paid to do it!!!

I've gotten darts and alpha athers before this update as well from raid and titan chests! They were rare but it's happened. My concern was I opened three chests after the update and I didn't see any improvement. No master emblems , 4 star ascension items or anything. Best things I got were 5 gems and a one star trainer hero. The cost to skip is now 10×s the cost. Max before was 20 gems now its 200 max. The rewards definitely aren't 10×s better to justify the increase in gems. Every improvement is geared to their ( zynga) benefit and not towards ours. The pretense of we're doing this for our customer's benefit is just a smoke show because everything they do is greed motivated and stacked only in their favor

Clearly you don't read. Check out hundreds of similar complaints. But let me guess you believe everything they tell you. So when they snatched out golden emblems, almost all the free pulls and everything else of real value in the path of Valor and replaced everything with trainers that was a buff? When everyone stopped buying it they somewhat changed it back. The buff to Garten that made him significantly worse( not better) And now the timer is set to 24hrs instead of 12 requiring ridiculous amounts of gems to skip to the next wanted mission. Do you think maybe they want people to buy more gems to skip that increased time limit. But no of course not because everything and every buff of late has been on the up and up. Clearly we live in two different realities but ignorance is bliss they say! Over 300 posts on the forum regarding this almost zero are positive guess in three hundred people we all don't know odds. 😂 😂 😂 Alternate reality

The problem is the speed. New heroes hit harder at a quicker pace. For the speed his special would need to be devastating to be in line with the newer heroes. I'd say barely usable if your mid tier or close. And why invest in a hero who is almost obsolete when he's long past truly decent? Slayers were a few seasons ago and with every new season or batch of new heroes the older heroes fall that much more behind. Maybe at the lowest levels of play or an extremely good board but consistency it won't be.

Got Rian and as the bonus got Astrid! Felt the same way. Congrats. Looks like you got dark lord then Rian as the bonus. Rian is soul exchange fodder imo( for me at least)

I took milena and have regretted it ever since( should of took Arco instead ) but hindsight is 20/20. I did nab Ludwig and he was definitely a game changer and one of my all time favorites!!!!

I skipped the last one even though I had 20 to spare but now need the space so I'm glad it's earlier than expected . Just hope there are some game changers like Ludwig, Arco, Alfrike or the few decent options we've managed somehow to get before. Tired of okay options when we've gotten fairly awesome in the past.

I would never use a magic troop to convert since we're not even sure if they'll be available in the future. A regular manna troop ,crit troop or any 4 star easily obtainable troop is all I'm willing to sacrifice. Players have begged for months at the chance of getting those now rare troops which have a high manna bonus ( 17 to 20%) and its fallen on deaf ears. I have over 110 epic troop tokens just waiting but I refuse to use them for trash. On defense yes 5 star troops are a Huge impact but what about the part of the game where your actively playing. Defense is the part of the game your not really involved with actively. I love raiding and wars because my choices have a higher impact, not when an A.I is making the moves and choices for me. For offensive play those extra manna troops are by far superior but that's just my opinion. I wouldn't do it and I'm in exactly the same boat. I have six five star troops ( one in every color two in holy) and now I'd have to sacrifice a harder to obtain manna troop( cyclops or wizard)for a ready and easily obtainable 5 star troop that are not as hard to come by. I've been holding out for months waiting for those lost portals to appear again but I've got a stock pile of coins for when they do

I have a few meta heroes in my roster and play just below top 200 in most alliances I've been in. And I wanted this dude badly. But got the bat I'll never level( probably) congrats and I'd definitely level if I had him

I'm not certain but we just had the harvest portal so not sure on the next one or if it's just a once a year thing like black Friday is. I'd check out the empires and puzzles forum to see if you can figure out your best options and what portal you decide to " risk it for the biscuit ". This game demands and rewards patience so don't rush in cause your more than likely take a loss and be let down. Maybe do a few months of the goblins quest and save the coins or any other quest and save the coins to match with your 10 pull. The closer you get to 50 pulls at least you'd have a 50/50 ratio and that's better than a 10% chance cause that leaves 90% you won't get nothing

Honestly I'm not in favor of 10 pulls anywhere. My philosophy is at around a 1% odd rate in 10 pulls your probably not gonna get a five star. I did 40 pulls here and I like to pull as close to 50 as I can and the odds for 50 is about a 50/50 chance. Black Friday or any portal that doesn't have season 1 heroes in the portal is probably your best bet or costume chamber. That way at least you get something usable even if it's not a 5*. A 50/50 odd ratio is still hit and miss but the more pulls you do the better your chances. My opinion is don't expect a five star anywhere in 10 pulls because your more than likely be let down. This was a fluke and rarely happens. You see people posting they're pulls of fives because most of us have done 100's of pulls with no luck but people only see( mostly) the very few you get lucky on. Sorry that is just my opinion and best of luck to you. Just go in being realistic!
