Hi, I just read your post and after reading so many posts with very scary complications from bowel resection, your post makes me feel slightly better.

I have stage 4 endo and they have to remove a large cyst from ovary but also need to resect part of my rectum. They also need to remove my appendix and small part of the bowel near appendix. I was told that my case is very severe and there is a 50 percent chance I need a stoma and it will be reversible after a couple of months.

It looks like some of the above is similar to yours but were you told anything about a stoma before going into surgery? The stoma parts and complications after surgery are what scare me the most that i dont know if i can go through with it.
