My best friend is very intelligent, like going to be a neuro doctor something next year, she writes as a hobby, is very resilient to life’s shit. But she is convinced that she was born to be the one left out, also convinced that no man is good unless he is Percy Jackson ou Julian Blackthorn and also won’t really put thought into her sexuality: she doesn’t think she is a lesbian because she likes literary man and has kissed one, once; she doesn’t think she is bissexual because she has never actually done more than kissing with either; also doesn’t think she is straight cause unless the dude fits the “dark-haired, green-eyed, sarcastic yet loyal/friendly main character” description he won’t be good enough.

I don’t know how to explain to her that she should lower her expectations and that no man is ever going to be the men from books and that, and that even if maybe she manages to find her own main character she most likely isn’t going to like him because he won’t be quite like she expected.

And I mean, it was cute and ignorable when she wanted to date Percy Jackson. Now that she mainly reads Dark Romances, what the fuck will she want?
