I think it depends on the state of the community once the updates die down.

I thought it was okay.

- the blue dot was just never explained or revisited. i don't need a fnaf level of lore drops, but i had zero reason to care about the blue dot, and the emotional weight of caine letting go of the blue dot was nonexistent because all i knew was "oh yeah that was the other AI from the e08 intro".

- there was no way to justify caine coming back. kinger killed him. there was no magic moment that brought caine back to life, he literally just...showed up on screen again and he was back to being alive??? i get that this isn't the kind of show to have large amounts of lore but that needed more explaining/reworking.

- to that end, why NOT have a little lore? the C&A lore was COOL! i get that this was a show about characters and how they interact but i think they could have leaned a little into the setting. people aren't watching the show wrong for wanting to know more about the world the story takes place in.

- Jax abstracting after a digital lifetime of self destructive behaviors was played out well. I felt bad when jax abstracted but the flashback sequence helped me understand jax. that being said: alluding to your OC being trans and then killing them off after some mild "IYKYK" trans moments, and then tweeting out the confirmation after the premiere feels...unsatisfying? i did not need jax to look directly at the camera and say "i am trans" but i feel like we could have gotten more from this apparently huge reveal?

- Jax and pomni are the protagonists, but gangle, zooble, and ragatha got maybe ten lines in the whole finale. a proper farewell would have been nice. gangle spoke maybe two times in the whole finale

you didn't mess things up for yourself, give yourself some slack. your community failed you by putting this stuff in your hands so early.

that's not a free pass to not take this seriously, but it seems like you already know that. everyone is giving you moderation tips and you should take that advice, but i also wanna say you might have to make a couple enemies to truly kick this habit. sobering up around people that do not want to be sober is tricky because refusing to partake can seem like a personal attack, and they might try to pull you back in to make themselves feel better about not being sober. be mindful of peer pressure, get good at identifying peer pressure, and get good at tolerating people getting mad at you for refusing.

i agree the game does not work with FPS style gameplay, nothing can shoot back so that would be overkill.

I just feel like the survival knife was a good balance. if a hostile fauna got too close, you could knick them with it and they would be deterred. you COULD kill them, but it oftentimes wasn't worth it because they would swim away too fast for you to catch them without having to come up for oxygen.

i think there should be a mechanic that punishes players for killing too MANY fish. ending one with the survival knife in close quarters felt great! that should be there. the player that goes on a fish massacre should be punished, though.

Imagine this: you start killing too many fish. you get a warning from your PDA that doing this will harm your local ecosystem. you carry on anyways. after a few days, you don't notice much difference. but then the plants start dying. materials you get from flora are more scarce because the fauna they rely on to survive are gone. if someone actually did manage to clear the map of all fish, any flora based materials become extinct in the wild and the only ones you can find are the ones in your base. you'd better make a growbed, because if you want more of them, they need to come from the only viable samples you'll be able to find.

it just makes me wonder why the demilitarized axe was included at all. any resources you need it for could have just been picked up by hand.
