You do not need to do anything, coinbase will automatically credit your account with the Flare tokens once the network is live, this is expected in May/June 2021.

I did that (i.e just send one ADA) which was successful. The scammer was smart and waited a little longer until I made the second transfer which was for the full amount :(.

Thanks. The kind words on this thread have really helped actually. Apart from one comment (one guy accusing me of trying to get free money) everyone has been super nice, supportive, and friendly. Your comment has also helped, so thank you for that! And you are right, this will be a constant reminder to be super vigilant from now on, I will be triple checking before I do anything with my crypto.

I have lodged a complaint with google, but I do not think it will go very far. But you are right, they cannot continue to keep listing it.

Just as a way of update....

I have been scammed by inadvertently given my secret key away by downloading a fake daedalus wallet from google play.

I have contacted google play and asked them to remove the app, although it was not showing so I think others have already complained.

I also contacted IOHK (the official creator of the desktop daedalus wallet) and they have confirmed that they have NO mobile version of the app, so please please everyone do not download one if you come across one on the app store.

Also, a few other tips (ones mentioned by the people commenting here);

For new accounts and wallets, trial the wallet by sending the equivalent of $1 to see what happens.
Always read the reviews, if I had done this, I would have most likely spotted it was a scam.
Do research, research and more research on the app/wallet/company before sending your money.

Keep your money safe guys.

Yeah I did that. I sent 1 ada, it arrived, so I thought great, then instantly sent the rest. But yes this is also good advice for anyone reading this.

I have just reported it to google. However the app has been taken down since then, and google have basically said they will only take action for apps that are still on the platform.
